Every life deserves to be seen in full
One Life One Line transforms the story of a life into a beautiful, personalised artwork - designed to be framed and treasured forever.

One Life One Line was made for the moments when an ordinary gift simply isn't enough.A milestone birthday or special date
When someone you love has a signficant birthday, or marks many years of marriage, you want to give them something that says: your life has been remarkable, and we've been paying attention. One Life One Line is built together - family members pooling memories, laughing over forgotten holidays, rediscovering chapters they'd nearly lost. The artwork is the result. The building of it is the gift.A retirement
After 30 or 40 years, a card, a collection tin or a carriage clock feel a bit thin. One Life One Line gives colleagues a way to honour the whole person - not just the job title, but the life lived alongside it. Everyone chips in their memories, not just their money. What comes back is something worth framing.A way to remember
Some families come to One Life One Line with a quiet urgency - a parent whose memories need capturing while they still can, or a loved one who deserves to see their whole story laid out before it's too late. In those moments, the process of building it together becomes something precious in itself.Coming soon - paired timelines
Two lives, told together. Once the single timeline is completed, I'll be working on a paired timeline for couples - two independent stories that visibly converge at the moment they met, and continue forward as one. Perfect for that special anniversary.

One Life One Line is a guided experience that transforms the story of a life into a single, richly layered artwork - beautiful enough to frame, meaningful enough to keep forever. You work through a simple, unhurried data input form that captures all the elements of the person's life - homes, schools, jobs, people, passions, pastimes, travel and landmark events - everything that made their life what it was.As you build it, an interactive timeline grows in real time - a living, scrollable portrait of a life viewable on any device, that you can explore and share before a single thing is printed. You choose world events to weave in alongside the personal story, so you can see at a glance where a life was, and what it was doing, when history happened around it.When it's complete, you order a fine art print, beautifully framed and ready to hang on any wall, where it will quietly tell its story for decades to come.

Build it together
A simple, guided process walks you through the story - capturing the chapters, the people, the places, the passions and the moments that made a life what it was. It's designed to be done together, over a cup of tea, at whatever pace feels right. Most people find it sparks conversations they weren't expecting.Watch it come to life
As you add to it, an interactive timeline builds in real time. Scroll through a whole life. See where you were and what was happening when the world events that mattered to you occurred - and see your own landmark moments perfectly in context with everything else. Share it with family members who are far away. Take your time.Keep it, forever
When you're ready, order your timeline as a fine art print, professionally framed and ready to hang - a permanent, beautiful record of a life that will be wondered at, and remembered, long into the future. If you'd prefer to frame it yourself, that option is there too.

I built One Life One Line for two simple reasons: Firstly, I didn't feel I could remember elements of my own life clearly enough.Everything from the last twenty years is there - I can scroll through it on my phone in minutes. But before that? So much of it is hazy. The places, the people, the things that shaped me - there but indistinct, like a photograph left too long in the light.Secondly, I lost my father in 2015. He lived a full, rich life for eighty years - yet we have nothing to easily glance at that reminds us of the richness and scope of his amazing life. No record of his chapters, his people, his passions. Just memories that fade a little more every year.I don't want that for my own children. So I built this.Jon Bockelmann-Evans, founder

One Life One Line is a working prototype - the interactive timeline is built, the guided process works, and the vision is clear. But there is still design and development work to do before it's ready for the world. The next step is to put it in front of real people. To find out what resonates, what needs refining, and what I may have missed. That's where you come in.
If you've found your way to this page, it's probably because I trust your opinion. One Life One Line is still taking shape, and the people who see it at this stage have a genuine chance to influence what it becomes. I'd love to know what you think - what excites you, what questions it raises, what you'd change.Drop me a line, and honestly, any reaction is useful and appreciated.[email protected]
